Action Plan Tracker

We have developed the Action Plan Tracker to assist officers in local authorities in the preparation and implementation of action plans. The system is in use in the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow, and also by Blaby District Council, mainly focused on their air quality action plans. Although developed primarily for air quality plans the system will also be useful for others, particularly where a multi-agency response is required, for example concerning noise or climate change.

The system includes the following:

• Details of options, including costs, effectiveness and a scoring of associated impacts (congestion, social inclusion, etc.)
• Information on planning permission.
• Stakeholder views on options.
• Implementation plans for each option, including actions that need to be taken and who will be responsible for them.
• Generation of annual progress reports for DEFRA.
